Antique porcelain angel cherub wall pocket. The porcelain piece is handsculpted and painted most likely German in origin. The wall pocket measures 8 5/8" long by 5 1/4" wide with a 4 3/4" projection. Originally for mail or calling cards, this would make a great little ivy planter. The piece is expertly painted with attention to detail. There is small damage to note the edge of the card he is mailing is chipped and one flower has a petal missing, otherwise in good solid shape. We date the wall pocket to the late Victorian era circa 1870-80. Stock Item PG #726-071
