Rare Simon & Halbig Kammer & Reinhardt miniature doll. The diminutive doll stands 4 1/2" tall. The doll is all original. The wig is blonde human hair with original pate. The dolls head is marked on the back S&H then below K*R . At the lower back neck there is a number appears to be a distinct 1 followed by a 2 but the foot of the numeral 2 is absent. So we think this is a number 12. The doll has sleepy brown stationary glass eyes with open mouth top teeth showing. The body is the original jointed composition. The neck is a little on the lose side still secure in the upright position but could use to be tightened. Only damage to note is one foot appears to have been glued back on above the ankle. A good clean repair hardly noticeable as you have to examine carefully to see. The doll is complete with what appears to be the original apron, dress, petticoat, and pantaloons. She also has a hand crocheted basket with silk flowers a liitle worn, and original dutch girl bonnet (one side ribbon missing). Truly a rare and collectible doll.We date the doll to early 1900.
