Antique French ivory portrait. The portrait is hand painted on ivory and set in a paneled genuine mother of pearl bronze frame. The ivory framed measures 4 3/4" long by 3 7/8" wide. The oval portrait miniature in under convex glass. Unframed 3 3/8" long by 2 1/2" wide. There is some slight loss on the lower left hand edge near the bezel. We date the miniature to circa 1880-1900. The back is more recently black velvet lined.
