Great little antique German enamel tape measure. The ormolu brass dog with glass eyes guards the tape gate. The tape while a little worn unreels and rereels smoothly. I didn't want to pull all the way out just my luck it would stop working but I can imagine it is about 36 inches long. The dog house is covered in a heavy green cellophane over a tin base. The ormolu dog has glass eyes. This delightful little piece measures 1 1/4" square and is marked Germany on the bottom and we date it to the 1890's legal antique.
