Byzantine 18k yellow gold Cross. This beautiful piece dates circa 1840 Georgian era and is legal antique. The cross is inlaid with hard fired white enamel detail and pearl accents. The cross is handengraved with attention to detail. The piece measures 3 1/2" long by 1 3/8th inches wide and projects 2/8ths.All the pearls are intact with no loss. The cross is in good condition with the exception of a side panel which has been pushed in with no loss. Please refer to photos.The back of the cross is centered with a bezeled glass panel for reliquary or memory insert and is backed by original purple silk. The bezeled ring insert is original to the cross. The cross tests for 18k and weighs 17.8 grams gold.
